St. Augustine Hotels

St. Augustine, Florida is the oldest city in the United States, located near Jacksonville. It has mild weather year-round, which makes it a popular tourist location for those looking for interesting things to do. The city has an historic district complete with cobblestone streets where it is possible to find charming bed-and-breakfast accommodations in this area. Located on the Vilano Beach that is only three miles north of downtown and is the only hotel on this beach. Guests can choose to stay in the Owner’s Apartment that sleeps up to four persons, motel rooms that also sleep up to four, or in the guest house that can sleep up to eight. The Silver Sands Motel at Crescent Beach is economically priced at $60 per night for a motel room or $450 for seven days. The owner’s apartment is complete with two queen beds, recliners, laundry facilities, and a full kitchen. Guests who stay at the guest house can enjoy two bedrooms, four double beds, recliners, a full kitchen, and a dining room. Both the owner’s apartment and guest house are priced somewhat higher per night.

Guests who prefer to stay at newer hotels that are part of national chains, such as Hampton Inn, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, or Holiday Inn Express will also find these available in St. Augustine. Nightly rates at these hotels is anywhere from $130 to $230. There are also high end luxury hotels, including the Casa Monica Hotel that has been a landmark in St. Augustine since 1888. It is located in the downtown area with nightly rates from $279 to $359. The rooms have authentic Old World décor with antique furniture and many amenities.
